Booking an Appointment
If you intend to receive a Medicare rebate for the session a referral from your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist is required before attending your initial appointment. If however you would like to claim under your private health fund a referral is not necessary. Please contact us if you have any queries regarding this process.
Appointments
All sessions (excluding the initial appointment) are 50-60 minutes in duration. We ask that for the first session you arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete the standard paperwork. At the initial session, Natasha will conduct a comprehensive assessment to best understand your situation. In this session your goals for therapy will also be discussed as well as possible treatment options. The frequency of sessions and length of treatment will depend on your situation and will be outlined in the initial session.
Fees
The cost for an initial appointment is $285 per 60-70 session. Subsequent appointments are $260 for 50-60 minutes in duration. Please note that the Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended fees for a standard consultation (46-60 minutes) is $280.

There is a maximum of 10 sessions that can be subsidised by Medicare per a calendar year under the Mental Health Care Plan. If you are referred under an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan you are eligible for 20-40 Medicare subsidised sessions for the year. Alternatively, through your private health fund you may be eligible to receive a rebate (not in conjunction with any Medicare rebate). The rebates vary according to your insurance fund and policy so please contact your insurer to determine the amount you may be reimbursed for psychological services.
